Jim Chinh Nguyen
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT  

Jim Nguyen guides public relations, marketing and technologies strategies for ThinkViet.  He also oversees strategic alliances, focusing on partnerships with companies that have solutions specific to the Vietnamese market.  Prior to founding ThinkViet, Jim managed advertising sales for San Jose Mercury News and Viet Mercury.  Jim pioneered an innovative marketing program that provided customized creative services and branding solutions to Vietnamese-owned businesses breaking into the mainstream market.  Jim holds an MBA and BA in Government and International Business from the University of San Francisco and St. Mary’s College of California.  He is the co-author of Passport Vietnam: Your Pocket Guide to Vietnamese Business, Customs & Etiquette. 


Thanh Do
DESIGN CHIEF

Thanh Do drives design vision, planning and implementation for ThinkViet.  He has worked as graphic designer, photographer, and illustrator for the Design Company and Deutsch Design Works for 19 years, supporting many large corporate clients like Anheuser Busch, Budget, Sprint, Pepsi Cola and Safeway.  After leaving Vietnam in 1968, Thanh spent three years studying interior design in Germany.  He studied fine art in France and in 1976 he received the Diplome Nation des Beaux-Arts for Graphic Communications in Paris.  Thanh also studied at the School of Decorative Art in Strassbourg that specializes in illustrative art. 


David Le
VP SALES & MARKETING

David Le guides marketing and sales for ThinkViet.  He is a veteran sales and marketing executive who has made his mark and perfected his technique within large, mainstream corporations as well as nimble, IPO driven start-up enterprises: Honeywell Systems, Televideo, Sigma Designs, Everex Systems, and several other Silicon Valley firms. David also founded and served as CEO of Net Images between 1994 and 2002, an Internet consulting company that created, hosted, and maintained online presences for small to mid sized companies when the Internet was still just an idle curiosity to most consumers and businesses. When at Net Images, David started and helped build VietGATE, the first online Vietnamese Community Portal, designed to offer a comprehensive guide and search engine for Vietnamese-content documents and resources from all over the world. Finally, to this eclectic and rich cross-cultural experience, and as a welcome break from private sector entrepreneurship, David added a stint between 2002 and 2005 as a Business Methods Examiner in the US Patent and Trademark Office in Washington DC, learning the finer points of cryptography, digital resource management, and electronic commerce from the most advanced and creative companies of the world today.


Patrick J. Weldon
SENIOR SALES MANAGER

Patrick oversees regional and national sales for ThinkViet and its media properties. Prior to ThinkViet, he worked as a sales consultant with the San Jose Mercury News, one of the nation’s largest and most respected newspapers and online news sources. Patrick won numerous accolades for his goal achievements and sales excellence, including recognition for growing advertising revenue in categories such as financial, restaurant, online and specialty products. In 2005, he helped lead a major fast food restaurant recovery campaign after a national food scare incident. Before the Mercury News, Patrick spent four years working in the investment real estate field, managing transactions for institutional clients.


Esther Nguyen
VP CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT & GENERAL COUNSEL

Esther oversees strategic development, investor relations and contract negotiations.  She has founded a number of successful startups. She was founder/CEO of Pure Skin, a beauty and health e-commerce website, which was later acquired. Esther also founded E2 Bio-Composites, Inc. and Koidra Consulting, LLC. Esther chairs the international arm of the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs and sits on the Advisory Board for SAGE Global, both organizations fostering entrepreneurship globally. She earned her bachelors degree from the University of Southern California and her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law. Esther is a member of the California State Bar.
